Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 can Kidney Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Pinto Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Green Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1 cup Celery chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and celery to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  3. 3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Add the kidney beans, pinto beans, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
