Ingredients 

Cake

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 5 large eggs separated
  • 1 cup sugar divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup whole milk
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Separate eggs. In a large bowl, beat egg yolks with ¾ cup sugar until pale yellow. Stir in milk and vanilla.
  4. Pour egg yolk mixture over flour mixture and stir gently until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites on high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add remaining ¼ cup sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold egg white mixture into batter gently until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cake cool completely.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and ¼ cup heavy cream. Pour over cooled cake.
  9. In a large bowl, beat 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over cake.
