Traditional Gyros Recipe
A classic Greek dish made with seasoned meat, fresh vegetables, and tangy tzatziki sauce, all wrapped in a warm pita.

Main Ingredients
- 500 g Lamb or Chicken thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Oregano dried
- 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 4 pieces Pita Bread warmed
- 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce
- 1 cup Tomatoes diced
- 1 cup Red Onion sliced
- 1 cup Lettuce shredded
1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the sliced meat and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated meat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet or oven.
4. Assemble the gyros by placing the cooked meat on the warmed pita bread. Top with tzatziki sauce, diced tomatoes, sliced red onion, and shredded lettuce.
5. Fold the pita bread around the fillings and serve immediately.
