Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup mirin
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, honey, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add to the saucepan and whisk until the sauce thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool. Use as a marinade or sauce.
