Instructions
1. Preheat your griddle or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and roll into balls.
3. Place the beef balls onto the hot griddle and smash them flat with a spatula.
4. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy.
5. Flip the burgers, add cheese, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
6. Toast the buns on the griddle for about 1 minute.
7. Assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings and serve immediately.
