- 1 whole Prime Rib Roast about 6 pounds
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon Rosemary chopped
- 1 tablespoon Thyme chopped
- to taste Salt and Pepper
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Rub the prime rib with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Place the roast in a roasting pan, fat side up.
Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C).
Continue roasting until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 120°F (49°C) for medium-rare, about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Remove from oven and let rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
