Ingredients 

Custard

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch

Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 12 circles. Press into a muffin tin.
  3. In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk, heavy cream, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  4. Whisk egg yolks and vanilla extract together. Slowly add to the milk mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the custard into the pastry shells.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  7. Let cool before serving.
