  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold and cut into cubes
  • ¼ cup ice water more if needed

Instructions

  2. 2. Add cold butter cubes and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  4. 4. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and fit it into a pie dish.
  6. 6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
