Patty Melt Recipe
A classic patty melt with caramelized onions, melted cheese, and toasted bread.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 8 slices Rye bread
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Cook onions until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
2. Form ground beef into 4 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
3. In the same skillet, cook patties until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
4. Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt.
5. Toast the rye bread slices in the skillet until golden brown.
6. Assemble the patty melts by placing a patty with melted cheese and caramelized onions between two slices of toasted rye bread.
