Parmesan Garlic Orzo
A simple and delicious side dish made with orzo pasta, garlic, and Parmesan cheese.

- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper freshly ground
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
3. Stir in the orzo and cook for 2-3 minutes, until lightly toasted.
4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
7. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
