  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and butter.
  4. Let it cool slightly before serving.
