Mississippi Slugburger Recipe
A classic Mississippi Slugburger, a deep-fried patty made with a mixture of beef and soy grits, served on a bun with mustard, pickles, and onions.

- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Soy grits
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 Hamburger buns
- to taste Mustard, pickles, and onions for serving
1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soy grits, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
2. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
3. Dredge each patty in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
5. Fry the patties until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
6. Serve the patties on hamburger buns with mustard, pickles, and onions.
