Ingredients

  • 2 cups Elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk, and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni. Pour into a baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
