  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the popcorn kernels and sugar, and stir to coat.
  3. Cover the pot with a lid and shake the pot frequently to prevent burning.
  4. Once popping slows to about 2-3 seconds between pops, remove from heat.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and stir to coat evenly. Let cool slightly before serving.
