Hot Brown Recipe
A classic open-faced sandwich originally from Louisville, Kentucky.

Main Ingredients
- 4 slices white bread
- 1 lb turkey breast, cooked and sliced
- 8 slices tomato
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 8 slices crispy bacon
Mornay Sauce
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 4 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- to taste salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
Place the bread slices in a baking dish. Top each with turkey slices and tomato slices.
Pour Mornay sauce over the top and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and lightly browned.
Top each sandwich with 2 slices of crispy bacon and serve hot.
