  • 4 medium Potatoes peeled and grated
  • 1 small Onion grated
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 large Egg beaten
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper freshly ground
  • ¼ cup Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grate the potatoes and onion into a mixing bowl.
  2. 2. Squeeze out excess moisture from the grated mixture.
  3. 3. Add flour, beaten egg, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix well.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. 5. Drop spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the pan, flattening them with a spatula.
  6. 6. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. 7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
