Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ham diced
  • 1 cup Dried Beans soaked overnight
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 carrots Carrots sliced
  • 2 stalks Celery sliced
  • 8 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
  • 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper ground

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. 2. Add the carrots and celery, cook for a few minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in the diced ham and soaked beans.
  4. 4. Pour in the chicken broth, add thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. 5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours or until beans are tender.
  6. 6. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
