1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant.
3. Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and toss to coat in the garlic oil. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
4. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley.
5. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
