Garden Fresh Tomato Soup
A simple, fresh tomato soup made from garden tomatoes.

Main Ingredients
- 6 cups Tomatoes, chopped fresh from the garden
- 1 cup Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Vegetable Broth
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground
- 1 teaspoon Sugar optional, to taste
- 1 cup Basil Leaves fresh, chopped
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they start to break down.
4. Pour in vegetable broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
5. Use a blender to puree the soup until smooth.
6. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar to taste. Stir in chopped basil before serving.
