Eggnog Recipe
A classic holiday drink that's rich, creamy, and spiced just right.

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 5 eggs separated
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup rum or bourbon optional
In a saucepan, heat milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
In a mixing bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until thick and pale.
Slowly add hot milk to egg mixture, whisking constantly.
Return mixture to saucepan and cook over medium heat until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in cream, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into eggnog mixture.
Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Add rum or bourbon if desired.
