  • 3 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Butter for the skillet

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a blender, combine eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Place the butter in a cast iron skillet and put it in the oven until the butter is melted and the skillet is hot.
  4. Pour the batter into the hot skillet and bake for 20 minutes, or until the Dutch baby is puffed and golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Optionally, top with powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or syrup.
