Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 unit egg
  • as needed oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. 2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg.
  3. 3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. 4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ½ inch thickness. Cut out doughnuts using a doughnut cutter.
  5. 5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the doughnuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. 6. Remove doughnuts from oil and drain on paper towels. Let cool slightly before serving.
