Ingredients

  • 6 cups cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large bowl, combine cucumbers and onions.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds, celery seeds, turmeric, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. 3. Pour hot vinegar mixture over cucumbers and onions. Let cool.
  4. 4. Transfer pickles to jars and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
