Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
 - 1 large onion, finely chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 lb ground beef
 - 1 cup red wine
 - 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
 - 2 tablespoon tomato paste
 - 1 cup beef broth
 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
 - to taste salt and pepper

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
Pour in the red wine and let it simmer until it has mostly evaporated.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, and basil. Stir to combine.
Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for at least 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
