Main Ingredients
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
1. In a food processor, pulse the black beans until slightly mashed.
2. Transfer the beans to a mixing bowl and add bread crumbs, onion, garlic, beaten egg, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
