Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Beef short ribs
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Red wine
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme, dried
  • 1 teaspoon Rosemary, dried
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the short ribs on all sides, then remove and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until softened. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Stir in the tomato paste, then add the beef broth, red wine, thyme, and rosemary. Bring to a simmer.
  5. 5. Return the short ribs to the pot, cover, and transfer to the preheated oven. Cook for about 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
