  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low.
  4. Cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
  6. Fluff with a fork before serving.
