Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
  • 8 cups water
  • 0.5 cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cinnamon stick optional
  • 1-2 slices ginger optional
  • Ice for serving

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers under cold water.
  2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add the hibiscus flowers, cinnamon stick, and ginger slices to the boiling water.
  4. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool down.
  6. Strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
  7. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator.
  9. Serve over ice.
